Cyber universities must have a system to prevent proxy attendance and fraudulent exams by recognizing the student's identity on the server for self-authentication, lecture attendance, and exam management. (Example: fingerprint recognition, iris recognition, joint (PKI) authentication system, etc.)

What is a joint certificate?

An electronic signature is unique information that allows you to verify the identity of the person who created the electronic document and whether the electronic document has been changed. It acts like a seal on an electronic document. In order to use this electronic signature safely and smoothly, a certificate is used, and a certificate issued by a joint certification authority, a trustworthy third party designated by the Electronic Signature Act, is called a joint certificate. In other words, a joint certificate can be said to be a seal certificate for cyber transactions issued by a joint certification authority. The joint certificate contains a series of data including information such as the subscriber's electronic signature verification key, serial number, owner name, and expiration date.

- Issued after filling out an Internet banking application and applying for an ID and password on the home bank's website

How to manage joint certificates

Inquiries about management can be made at the certificate application agency (joint certification agency or registration agency).
Re-issuance, copy, renewal, abolition, suspension of effect, renewal of subscriber information, etc. of joint certificates can be done on the website of the issuing organization.
If you are studying at home or work, you can use it by copying it to a portable medium such as a removable disk.

The Universal Certification Authority (CA) refers to an organization with the human resources, technology, and financial power to safely establish and manage a certification system and public trust that can fairly manage and guarantee transaction facts in accordance with the Electronic Signature Act. Mobile certificate copy instructions (PC to mobile)

To use the Soongsil Cyber University mobile joint certificate service, you must copy the joint certificate issued from your PC to your smart device.
Mobile certificate copying is not possible on Naver App, Swing Browser, and Daum App, so you must use 'Internet Browser (default)' on Android phones and 'Safari Browser (default)' on iPhones.
If a problem occurs while moving the joint certificate, please contact the Korea Electronic Certification Call Center. (Inquiry number 02-3470-3705, operating hours: weekdays 09:00 ~ 18:00) The certificate copy function is supported on mobile Windows OS. It does not work.

This is a certificate login method that allows you to use all of our school’s functions with a certificate that has the same effect as a joint certificate.
You can easily issue a Naver certificate with the ‘Naver’ app.
Soongsil Cyber University student information and mobile phone information must be the same.

I use two cell phones, and when I issue one, the other is deleted.

Only one Naver certificate can be issued per person, and it cannot be copied or moved between devices.
If it is issued on one device and authentication is attempted on another device, a notification message is sent to the device where the certificate exists. Since authentication is requested, there is no need to issue a certificate every time.

Check whether you have installed the latest version of the Naver app
Check that you are logging in with the ID you want to authenticate (even if you are logged in, you need to log out and re-login)
Check whether notifications are allowed in Naver app settings or OS preferences
Re-issue the certificate from the certificate home and try again

Naver App: Run the app > Touch the top left menu (≡) > Touch the settings icon > Notifications > Make sure that receive push notifications is set to ‘ON’
Device settings: Mobile device settings menu > Application notification management > Check whether Naver app push notifications are set to allow (menu location and name may vary depending on device)

If you have checked all of the above but the problem is not resolved, please proceed below.

Delete and reinstall the Naver app (in this case, you must delete the certificate and then re-issue the certificate.)

If the mobile phone lock information used when issuing the certificate is different

If the lock information changes, such as by changing the fingerprint with a different finger, at the time of authenticating with the Naver certificate, it is not possible to know whether it is yours or someone else's fingerprint, and authentication failures occur repeatedly.
You can delete the existing certificate and obtain a new certificate.

When synchronizing and using the backed up Naver app

You must delete the installed Naver app, download and install it from the store, and then reissue the certificate.

I registered my fingerprint on my phone, but my fingerprint is not authenticated.

Among Android phones that use the fingerprint swipe method, this symptom occurs on some Samsung Galaxy models, including the Note 4.
This specification is not supported, and authentication can continue with the backup password.

What is biometric authentication?

This is a method that allows you to log in to the school website using your smartphone's fingerprint recognition and FACE ID, separate from the existing joint certificate and ID method.
